QMEE NOW HAS A REFERRAL INCENTIVE. EVERY NEW REFERRAL GETS A $1 BONUS ON THEIR FIRST PAYPAL CASHOUT IF THEY SIGN UP THROUGH MY LINK. FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS, I'M SETTING IT UP SO THAT YOU WILL GET 100% OF THE BONUS, RATHER THAN SPLITTING IT WITH ME OR ME GETTING ALL OF IT. AFTER JUNE 22, I WILL CHANGE IT TO 50/50. I'M DOING THIS BECAUSE I AM EXTREMELY EXCITED ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND I WANT EVERYONE TO TRY IT.
REMEMBER, QMEE HAS NO MINIMUM CASHOUT THRESHOLD, SO YOU CAN GET THE DOLLAR IF YOU COMPLETE JUST ONE SURVEY!
Today's review, the first review ever for Do Your Homework, is of Qmee. Qmee rewards members for completing surveys and web searches. You can either pay yourself through a verified PayPal (see here for how to verify your PayPal account), purchase a gift card for Amazon, iTunes, or Starbucks, or donate to your favorite charity (click here to read the Qmee blog regarding charitable donations).
Founded in 2011 by Jonathan Knight and Nick Sutton, Qmee is based in the European Union. I hadn't heard of Qmee until recently when I did a web search for companies that pay the same day. I was in need of some quick cash, and I stumbled upon a blog post about Qmee.
Normally, I shy away from survey sites. They tend to take up an enormous amount of your time, and in most cases, you either don't qualify for surveys or you get led on a merry chase clicking links that wind up spamming your inbox. But the review for Qmee was solid, and I really did need money that day, so I went over to the website and signed up.
Signing Up for Qmee
The signup process is pretty straightforward. ( Click here to go the Qmee website and sign up. ) Once you've completed the signup process and verified your email, you can start working immediately. If you have a smart phone, I strongly suggest that you install the Qmee app and log in on that as well. And don't forget to enable the Qmee browser extension to log your web searches on Google, Amazon, and other sites.
Before you begin, it's a good idea to complete your profile information as thoroughly as possible. This will ensure that you are matched with as many surveys as possible. The information that Qmee collects will not be shared, and there is a pretty exhaustive list of questions regarding household, income, ethnicity, shopping habits, and general information. They won't ask for your social security number or any other sensitive information; the data they collect is strictly for making sure that they have as wide a sampling as possible for the surveys.
Completing Surveys on Qmee
On the Website: Log into your Qmee account; the landing page is your Dashboard, and there you will find all surveys that you are probably qualified for that are currently available, and how long that survey should take. It will also tell you how much the survey is worth. Generally, longer surveys pay higher rewards, but none of them have taken me more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
Once you've chosen your survey, and if there are still available spots (they fill up quickly), you will be redirected to the survey itself. There are usually a couple of demographic questions at the beginning, to make sure that the survey provider is getting a broad sampling. If you don't qualify for the survey for whatever reason, you will be brought back to your dashboard. This happens occasionally; it can be avoided by filling in your profile as accurately and completely as possible.
(This screenshot of my survey strength is from the app, not the website, but the comprehensive profile questions are found on the web version, so be sure to go there and complete your profile!)
And that's it! Your account will usually be credited immediately (it will tell you that your reward will appear in your Piggy Bank within 2 hours but I've never waited more than 1 minute for it to happen). Once you're done with the survey, you will be redirected back to your dashboard, where you can choose another survey if there is one available.
Check the website often. Surveys get snatched up quickly, so I advise you to keep a browser tab open with Qmee, and glance at it frequently to see if there's anything available (the little number in parentheses next to "Dashboard" on the tab with the green "Q").
On the App:
The process for completing surveys on the app is almost exactly the same as on the website, the main difference being that, at least for me, there are more surveys available on the website. If the survey provider hasn't formatted that survey for mobile, it won't work on the app and, thus, it won't be available there. Still, the app is a great option for use when you're away from your computer.
Once you install it, open the app and log in. You will see this page:
If there are no surveys available for you, you will see this page instead:
You will only get push notifications for "hot" surveys, which are higher paying surveys that Qmee has determined will fill up quickly, so it's a good idea to keep the app open and check it frequently, so you don't miss any surveys.
Filling out a survey on the app is easy and, in my experience, faster than on the website. You do have to be careful of things like sliding bars, which may not work properly on your app or which might be super touch sensitive. Make sure to double check that your answers are accurate.
Rewards for surveys completed on the Qmee app are added to your Piggy Bank the same way as the rewards from web apps.
Rewards for Searching with Qmee
Qmee has a browser extension that allows them to track your searches and, when they feel something is relevant to you or of interest, a green sidebar will pop up on the left side of your screen with options or offers they think would be a good fit for you. If you are interested in any of the options shown, just click on them like you would any other search result and you will be taken to the website.
It's important to note that you're not going to make the bulk of your money with web searches. The system is set up to detect when you're trying to game it by doing mass searches, and that will result in penalties. Just search as you normally would. The browser extension works with Google, Amazon, Bing, and other search engines. The rewards aren't huge - I haven't gotten any yet, but I just started over the weekend - but it's a nice addition to what you will make from the surveys.
Payouts on Qmee
Right, the important part. When you want to cash out on the website, click on your green earnings amount in the top right section of your profile. There, you will be given your cashout options: PayPal, Gift Cards, or Charity.
If you opt for PayPal and you haven't done so already, go to your account settings and link your verified account. You will not be able to cashout to PayPal until your account is verified, so do that immediately if it's not already verified. Once your account is linked, simply click the PayPal option and follow the instructions. Your money will most likely be deposited immediately (that's been the case for me), but you will be told that it can take 24 hours.
On the app, click on the "Account" gear wheel at the bottom right of your screen. You will be brought to your balance, and your cashout options will be displayed under it. Click your choice of the 3 options and proceed. You will be asked whether you want to cashout your total Piggy Bank or a portion. Once you've made your choice, click the option you want and follow the instructions. Again, my money was available in my PayPal account immediately, but it can take 24 hours to appear.
Rest assured that you will receive your money. Qmee isn't a scam site, and they won't make you jump through a bunch of hoops to get paid.
Summary
Qmee is definitely a winner in the side hustle game. It's absolutely safe to use; they encrypt all of your information, and they don't share it with third parties. They don't spam your inbox, the notifications are not intrusive at all, and there is usually a decent number of surveys available on a daily basis. I will say that there seem to be more available during certain times of the day, but those times change, so I can't really tell you when it's best to try. Just keep the browser tab open and enable notifications, and you should be able to make a couple of bucks every day. I did surveys for 2 days and just cashed out:
Granted, $8.12 isn't a whole lot of money, but it's a great option when you need a little bit of cash in a hurry. I vape and drink coffee - a LOT of coffee - so that's mainly what I fund with Qmee.
I highly recommend Qmee. They have excellent support, a comprehensive FAQ, and they are reliable, trustworthy and honest.
