It would be awesome beyond words if there were a way to sit back in your pajamas and watch television or play games while money just poured into your bank account. But realistically, that's just not possible unless you start a website called "How to Sit Back in Your Pajamas While Money Pours Into Your Bank Account," then try to scam as many people as possible into sending you $29.99 for some bogus training course that will tell them how to make that happen. Of course, that will never happen, but there are probably enough people out there with $30 that want it to.

I am in no way advocating that. In fact, I believe that is the worst kind of betrayal, taking advantage of people who are honestly looking for a way to get those ends to meet, rather than the ends being perpetual strangers. Unfortunately, there are thousands of sites like that, and trying to find a legitimate way to earn money from home, either as a side hustle or a full-time vocation, quickly becomes discouraging.

 Believe me, I know all about it. I've been working from home, either full time or on the side, for a little over a decade, and I think I've seen it all. And that's why I started this blog. Because there are legit sites and apps out there that will allow you to earn money.

I'm not going to lie to you, it's not going to be all unicorns and ice cream cones. For more than a couple of dollars, you're going to have to work (except for the apps that pay you to download and play games, but even that becomes work after a while). But you will be able to create a steady stream of income, on sites and with apps that I have personally tested and gotten paid for using.

You're going to need to set up and verify a PayPal account and have at least an online bank account. To set up a verified PayPal, just go to their site, create an account, and follow the steps outlined in your welcome email. Once your account is set up, go to PayPal, click on "Summary," and then click on "Get Verified." You'll need to enter your bank's routing number and your account number or, in the alternative, a credit card. While not every site requires a verified PayPal, more and more sites that pay through PayPal are requiring verified accounts, and it's definitely worth it to take this step. It's much better than signing up for a site, working, then trying to get paid and finding out you have to verify your account before you can access your funds. I also suggest getting a PayPal debit MasterCard, so you don't have to transfer your funds to your bank, which can take several days.

I hope you will follow this blog, and communicate with me about any work from home gigs that you know about and would like to share. I won't post about them until I've tried them myself, but obviously, I don't know every way to make money from home; if I did, this blog would have its own domain and I'd probably be writing it from the beach.
